Teresa's Intro

Basic info: Eighteen years ago I too married my best friend, Sam. What a rock - patient, loving, quietly funny and smart. We have been blessed with two amazing kids: Adam (age 8) and Abby (age 4 but wanting to be 24!!).

Great experience last year/Difficult times: My greatest experience and my most difficult time from last year are intertwined. Last year over and over God keep telling me to quit my job and focus on my family. My husband's job was changing; and I needed to be home. This decision was so difficult because of my stubbornness and wanting to maintain control. The very day I resigned I was immediately at peace. I'm embarrassed to say that having the courage to trust God caused such emotional turmoil in 2010, but I am glad to say that finally acting and trusting God became the greatest experience from 2010.

Something silly I tend to turn everything into a song. We sing a ton around the house and in the car. Many ordinary conversations are put to a tune. My son will even sing back responses - which just makes me so happy and sing MORE!!

Unusual Maybe we are unusually normal - I swear there is nothing exciting or unusual about us.

Salvation I have always believed in Jesus, loved Jesus, have never had a day where I have doubted that he is the key to my salvation, but it has only been in the past few years that I have started studying the Bible. So although I am 41 (at least for a few more weeks) I feel that I am very young (and naive) on this walk with God.

  1. I didn't know you had resigned! How did Sam's job change? I know how much you loved your job, but I agree, obedience is better! Abby goes to kindergarten this fall, right?
